Persona Therapy Depth: Assessment, Persona Analysis, and Interventions - PT102
Course Description
This course introduces the professional practitioner to the theoretical and clinical practice of Persona Therapy Depth, including problem assessment, persona analyses and persona interventions.
The course is primarily experiential and provides participants with structured exercises designed to link theory into Persona Therapy Practice. Participants will work directly with the 9 Stages of Persona Therapy introduced in PT-101. Emphasis in the course will be given to challenges of traditional counselling and coaching practices that are more effectively addressed by the fundamental practices of the principles of Persona Therapy.
The course emphasizes the creative nature of Persona Therapy in working with individuals, couples and families in the areas of:
- Relationship problems
- Depression and anxiety
- Career problems and transitions
- Past trauma including post-traumatic stress
- Compulsive disorders
- Marital problems
- Family disturbances
- Grief and loss
- Financial problems
- Other problem areas
Course Goals and Objectives
By the end of this course practitioners will be able to identify and practice the 9 Stages of Persona Therapy Practice.
Specific knowledge will be demonstrated in the practitioner's ability to:
- Link theory into practice around the principles of Persona Therapy
- Identify the 9 key stages of Persona Therapy Practice
- Define the 3 key persona types necessary for persona analysis
- Understand the link between current client problems and the theory of the physics of levels of happiness and success
- Understand the model of happiness relative to the model of personal fulfillment.
- Understand current client problems relative to basic resilience factors
- Link current client problems to specific personas.
- Identify the distinct stages of Persona Therapy Practice.
- Identify the significance of persona therapy depth analysis in the development of Persona Success Coaching
Specific skills will be demonstrated in the practitioner's ability to:
- Practice the skills of the 9 Stages of Persona Therapy Depth
- Explore client problem areas (assessment) from distinct personas.
- Engage in persona depth analysis by specifically identifying the 3 key persona components (behavioural, affective, cognitive).
- Engage in basic persona depth analysis by specifically identifying the key developmental stage of persona development (childhood, adolescence, adulthood)
- And, the resiliency sources and corresponding need factors from family of origin, cultures and traumatic events.
- Practice basic persona acknowledgement and validation.
- Select or develop creative corrective interventions to meet persona needs associated with client problems connected to persona resilience factors.
- Evaluate intervention outcomes
- Practice Closure and New problem identification
- Introduce the Foundation for client development of a Success Persona
Course Format
The format for the course will include short lectures, structured group activities, case analyses and practice therapy sessions with program participants.
Professional Development Course Credit Evaluation
In order to successfully complete the requirements for Professional Development Credit the practitioner must meet the following two criteria:
1. Attendance: Mandatory to 90% and;
2. Persona Therapy Self Analysis Assignment (Mastery Standard 80%).
